We are thrilled to announce that the TARA sideboard, designed by the talented Dalibor Marek, has been honored with the prestigious BIG SEE Design Award for the best wooden product design in 2023.

BIG SEE Design Awards

The BIG SEE Product Design Award, along with the broader BIG SEE Design Awards event, represents not only design excellence but also a commitment to sustainable and nature-conscious design. This year’s event was held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, under the auspices of Zavod Big – an independent, non-profit organization that promotes the development of the creative economy, connects the developmental potential of society, and aims to address the challenges of the modern world.

TARA Sideboard

Regarding the TARA sideboard, designer Dalibor Marek’s intention is clear and pleasantly surprising: nature, specifically the knots on tree trunks, served as inspiration for this piece.

Dalibor Marek aimed to precisely convey the idea of a tree within an interior space. Wood is a living, natural material. Its unmatched beauty as a material, combined with the craftsmanship of Anesis, resulted in the creation of a unique piece of furniture with clean lines that will evoke calmness in its audience.
